Dinnerware

All my pottery is made from textured slabs of clay. They are fired to cone 5 and are stoneware, which makes them water tight. All clays and glazes are mined from and made in the United States. They have been tested by the manufacturers for food safety.

I use two types of glazing methods. Dipping a piece in one glaze produces the pieces that are one color on the outside, and may have another color on the inside. The other method is underglazing, in which I paint on a color before the first fire, and then dip the piece in clear glaze. The colorful mugs have undergone the underglaze method.

All stoneware items are lead free, dishwasher, microwave, and conventional oven safe.
